Traditional sleeping platforms, flagged floors, authentic furniture, linen and lace window coverings put the finishing touches to this marvellous property allowing you a genuine experience of the unpretentious down -to -earth Cretan life. |

Each cottage is individually designed and, because they are built into the hillside rock, is cool in summer and warm in winter. |

In order to retain the traditional atmosphere of the dwellings there is no electricity installed. Candles and oil lambs provide lighting. With the great respect for the environment there is a photovoltaic solar system installed which won the first European Award for Greece, and which now provides enough electricity for each cottage to have allow voltage fridge and a light in the bathroom. Hot water is provided in each cottage by gas heaters. |
